Appointments

When you visit us…

The Annie Lim Family Practice allows up to 15 minutes for a standard consultation, which enables the doctor to deal with one issue. If you have several problems you’d like to discuss, you will need a longer consultation (more than 15 minutes) to allow the doctor to give you the attention you need. Please advise staff, when making your appointment, whether you require a standard or long consultation. A higher fee is charged for longer consultations.

Please download and print out our NEW PATIENT INFORMATION FORM and fill it out before your first visit.

When you leave…

Payment is required at the time of consultation.

Bulk billing is not available for consultations at our practice. Provisions can, however, be made for different fees for patients who hold a current aged pension card.

The fee charged depends not only on the time you spend with your doctor, but, more importantly, the level of complexity of your problems. If the doctor also performs a procedure, such as removal of moles, pregnancy testing, contraception implants etc, additional charges will be incurred.

Reception staff can provide our fee structure* for all services upon request.

(*fees may change at any time and without notice)

If you can’t make it…

Given that it can be difficult to get an appointment when you want it, and with whom you want it, we do ask our patients to advise the practice if you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment. Cancelling or not attending an appointment without adequate notice (two hours) will incur a charge of $50 (standard), $80 (long), $40 (standard pensioner/HCC) and $60 (long pensioner/HCC).

We often have a waiting list of patients eager to see the doctor, so help us to help them by letting us know if you can’t make it.
